2:to check out the highway.
Approaching the road, Ellie waltzes right into an approaching troop of soldiers, who thankfully don't see her since she is a ways off.

3:They discuss the plan: They'll sneak a gas tanker to the bridge, scare cattle to stampede the soldiers, then blow up the truck and get away on motorbikes.
With that, off they go to collect the supplies.

4:Ellie and Fi sneak motorbikes to a place near the bridge, then make their way to the fuel tanker spot and rest. They are really, truly scared. Seems legit to us

5:Then the girls break into a truck depot to, well, get a truck.
After finding keys and a truck with enough fuel, Ellie fumbles around with the brakes, which she doesn't understand, before she finally gets

6:When some sentries walk along, they sprint for a tree and wait to be caught, but the soldiers don't even notice the parked tanker.

9:hank fully don't see her since she is a ways off.
The friends hide in the shadows and the soldiers get spooked by a rabbit; Ellie realizes that

10:Ellie is skeptical. His idea, however, is to blow up the bridge using a gas tanker truck, which she realizes isn't a terrible idea. Who exactly is intended to drive this giant truck? Ellie knows the answer to that

1:Still reading through the Hermit's papers, Lee and Ellie find that he wasn't convicted of murdering his wife and son at all—gossipers drove him away from town, not the law.On the way back, Ellie is moved

2:When she finally gets back to camp, Ellie finds Lee asleep and crawls into his tent to sleep with.

3:On the way back, Ellie is moved to follow her gut and makes out with Lee. When they reach the clearing, they notice Homer and Fi must

4:After Fi, Homer and Ellie go up to the Land Rover to get more supplies and hide the vehicle better, then Fi and Homer stay behind to wait for the scouts to return from town while Ellie heads to camp at midnight alone loaded down with stuff

5:Robyn, the new leader of the scout group, tells them her tale of the trip. Here's the short version: They didn't see anyone's families, but they were told they are safe in the Showground; the prisoners are well cared for and exceedingly well fed (they even bake fresh bread each

6:During their trip, the scouting group set up a fake camp at the Masonic Lodge, then they hid in Robyn's piano teacher's house, where soldiers came by with civilian workers who were being forced to clean out people's houses. They managed to speak to a few of them, which is how they learned about everyone's families and such.

7:After Robyn's report, they play a little game about who would hold which political office if they were the only free people left—Ellie is very happy about getting poet laureate.
Kevin tells them his plan for meat: ferrets and rabbits.
They hit the hay.

9:Relaxing by the water, all the friends do something different: kiss, cuddle, read, smoke.
Ellie finds herself in the throes of passion with Lee.
Calling everyone to a meeting, Homer lays out some facts and options for their next step.

10:Wanting to be alone, Ellie goes off to sit and think. She realizes that there is no such thing as "evil" and that the word is just a human invention.

The Power of One: Film Study
The First 10-15 Minutes
A typical film question will focus on those crucial first 10-15 minutes! Why? Because the director must catch and hold your attention in fifteen minutes or you won't watch the film.
Film Question: Explain how the filmmaker uses a range of film techniques to introduce such things as background, setting, character and themes in the first 10-15 minutes of a film you have studied. (NB. Film techniques include type of shots used, soundtrack, editing, etc.)
So how did Avildsen (the director of The Power of One)  manage to give you the background (especially historical background) plus introduce the setting plus introduce the characters plus the key ideas/themes?
