2 cups flour
3 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 cup chopped peeled apple
1 egg, lightly beaten
1 cup milk
1/3 cup melted butter
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
Directions:
1 Pre-heat oven to 180 degrees
2 Mix together flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.
3 Mix in apple, cover completely.
4 Add egg, milk, and butter.
5 Pour 3/4 full into greased muffin tins.
6 Mix topping together and sprinkle over unbaked muffins.
7 Bake for 15-20 minutes or until brown.
8 Eat them.http://trialx.org/wp-content/uploads/2012/10/recipes/Spiced_Apple_Muffins-2.jpg
EXPERTS:

What processes are involved in this recipe?
There is a magic number of folds for mixing the mixture. You must not fold more than 12 times otherwise the mixture has too much air in it and the muffins are not fluffy.
We can tell if it is cooked when you put a skewer into a muffin and it comes out with no mixture on it. This means the inside is cooked. You can also test it by pressing down on the top of the muffin. If it bounces back then it is cooked.
